CAN I USE SKOV ELEMENTS IF I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN?
For sensitive and reactive skin, we do not especially recommend the use of essential oils in your treatments. This is why we have developed PHYTO-ACTIVE CONCENTRE, a safe and effective alternative for all skin types. However, everyone’s skin is unique and skin can negatively react to any ingredient. Even the gentlest ingredients can cause a reaction on certain people’s skin, so we recommend patch testing a small amount of the product on the inside skin of the arm area to ascertain its compatibility with your skin. All our products are nevertheless tested under dermatological control for the comfort and the tolerance of your skin.
FROM WHAT AGE ONWARD SHOULD YOU USE SKOV ELEMENTS SKINCARE?
Skin aging is different for each person. As Dr. Wild points out in his study “Complementing the genome with an exposome: The outstanding challenge of environmental exposure measurement in molecular epidemiology”, skin aging is caused for 80% by external factors such as the sun, pollution and stress. We all have a different life – but what is certain – is that we all profit from effective and clean age-defying skincare from 25 years old onwards. Our skincare products are designed to protect and repair all skin types, even the most sensitive and reactive.
WHAT IS CRYO-GRINDING?
Cryo-grinding is the act of cooling plants at extremely low temperatures and then reducing them into very small particles. This obtained fine powder is packed with all the constituents and benefits of the plant. There is no loss in nutrients, vitamins and potency; it’s all about preserving the full essence of the botanicals. This powder is thus the closest form to the plant as you can find it in its natural habitat.
HOW ARE ALL THE PLANT NUTRIENTS TRANSFERRED INTO THE OIL?
In order to avoid long macerations that can damage the quality of the active ingredients and the most fragile constituents of the plants, we are able to transfer all their nutrients thanks to an innovative and perfectly safe green technology using low frequency sound waves.
WHAT PACKAGING USES SKOV ELEMENTS?
Sublimating and reinforcing the effects of nature is part of Skov Elements’ DNA. For us, it is important to protect the nature and to offer packaging that is recyclable and recycled. Only about 30% to 40% of European plastic packaging is recycled. This is extremely low. Whenever possible, Skov Elements chooses glass containers, which can be infinitely recycled. The box is made of fully recyclable FSC cardboard.
WHAT IS SKOV ELEMENTS’ POLICY TOWARDS THE ENVIRONMENT?
We favor ingredients extracted in an eco-responsible manner and systematically seek to reduce our climate impact. In addition, our bottles are made of recyclable glass, our cardboard packaging is 100% FSC, we prefer short supply chains and we do not use any ingredients of animal origin.
SKOV ELEMENTS OFFERS ‘CLEAN’ SKINCARE PRODUCTS. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
“Clean Beauty” is a form of beauty resulting from the “Slow Cosmetic” movement. This philosophy favors natural and organic ingredients free of any harmful substance to your health and your skin. Skov Elements will therefore look for natural treasures such as active-rich organic oils, plants and berries rich in anti-oxidants, fruit acids and botanical extracts with countless benefits. We decided to exclude from our compositions all controversial ingredients. Our blacklist is one of the most exacting of the market.
Skov Elements products do not contain the following ingredients:
PEGs, sulphate, synthetic fatty alcohols, petrochemical mineral oils (petrolatum, paraffinum liquidum), palm oil, silicones, GMOs, synthetic perfumes and colorants, endocrine disruptors (paraben, phthalates), chemical sunscreens, phenoxyethanol and ingredients from animal origin.
Clean also means paying particular attention to the origin of the ingredients and the consequences of all our practices (extraction, carbon footprint, etc.) on the environment.
SKOV ELEMENTS SKINCARE IS “NUTRIENT YOUTH”. DOES THIS MEAN THAT ALL PRODUCTS HAVE PROPERTIES TO PREVENT AND REPAIR SIGNS OF AGING?
Yes, it does. All Skov Elements products are developed with active ingredients that help boost cellular regeneration and give the skin a younger, more radiant look. A daily application helps improve skin elasticity and fill in fine lines and wrinkles.
IS THE SKOV ELEMENTS RANGE VEGAN AND CRUELTY-FREE?
Absolutely, we do not use ingredients of animal origin and do not test on animals as required by European legislation.
